Two widgets depend on settings outside your control. The Api Widget requires API Access on your user, and the Field Dashboard requires the field dashboard to be enabled under Project Management > Company Options. If either one looks empty or shows a permission message, your company administrator can turn it on.
What is this?
The Home page is a personal dashboard in Katapult Pro. You build it out of widgets, which are small panels that surface one kind of information each: feedback tagged to you, your API key and API documentation, or company-wide field quality data. Your Home page layout is tied to your user, so what you add does not change anyone else's view.
Widgets currently available in the tray:
- Feedback Widget. Feedback left on nodes, sections, jobs, and actions, specifically anything a coworker tagged you on.
- Api Widget. Generates and displays your API key. Appears as API Key Generation once added.
- API Resources. Links to the Katapult Pro API documentation, the NPM package, and custom API tooling examples.
- Field Dashboard. Company-wide field quality metrics. Appears as Fielder Quality Dashboard once added.
- Training Widget. Training resources.
When would I use it?
- You want feedback your coworkers tag you on to land somewhere you will actually see it.
- You need your API key or a link to the API documentation.
- You want a recurring look at your team's field data quality.
How do I use it?
Open the Home page from the App Tray
While signed in, start from Katapult Maps. Click the nine-dot App Tray icon in the top right corner, then select Home. You can also go straight there at katapultpro.com/home.
If you have never set up your Home page, it will be blank except for a short message reading It's feeling lonely. followed by Click the icon in the toolbar to add your first widget! Nothing is broken. It simply means you have not added any widgets yet.
Open the widget editor and add widgets
Click the Edit Widgets icon in the top right corner of the header, just left of Help. It looks like a small set of sliders. A tray opens across the top of the page reading Click on a widget to add it to your home page, with a card for each available widget. This tray is where you add, arrange, and remove widgets.

Click the blue + in the corner of any widget card. The widget drops onto your Home page immediately, and it saves as you go. There is no separate save step. Click the Edit Widgets icon again to hide the tray and the remove controls. Your layout stays exactly as you left it.
Rearrange your widgets
With the widget editor still open, grab the six-dot handle to the left of a widget's title and drag the widget where you want it. Widgets fill the page left to right. Each widget also has a minus control next to its title that collapses the panel without removing it.
Remove a widget
Open the widget editor, then click the red minus button in the widget's upper left corner. The widget comes off your Home page and its card returns to the tray, so you can add it back any time.
Tips and troubleshooting
- The Api Widget shows Need Permission. You will see API Access is not enabled for your account. Please contact your company administrator to enable API Access. Once an administrator enables it, reload the Home page and your key generation area appears.
- The API key area is blank. That means no key has been generated yet. Click Generate Key to create one.
- The Fielder Quality Dashboard reads No data available for this date range. The dashboard is scoped to a date range shown at the top of the panel. Use the arrows on either side of the date range to move to a range where your team collected data.
- The Feedback Widget reads You have no Feedback. Nothing has been tagged to you yet. To tag a coworker on feedback, type @ followed by their email address or the first part of it, and the feedback lands in their Feedback Widget.
