When you and a partner company work on different Katapult Pro servers, you can still hand jobs back and forth. Cross-Server Job Sharing links the two servers with a one-time code so a job on your server can be shared to a company on theirs.
Cross-Server Job Sharing lets two companies that live on separate Katapult Pro servers share jobs with each other. One company generates a Sharing Code, sends it to an admin at the other company, and that admin enters it. Once the link is in place, the two companies show up in each other's job Share menus, and you can share individual jobs across the server boundary the same way you would share with a company on your own server.
Reach for this when the company you need to share a job with is not on your server. Common cases are sharing work with a partner firm, a contractor, or a utility that runs its own Katapult Pro server. If the other company is already on your server, you do not need this feature. You can share with them from the job's Share menu directly.
A company admin enables the feature on the Project Management page. Open it from the nine-dot waffle menu in the top right of Katapult Pro, or go straight to katapultpro.com/project-management. In the left menu under Admin, select Company Options and toggle on Cross-Server Job Sharing so it turns blue.

Go to the Admin page from the nine-dot waffle menu, or open katapultpro.com/admin/. In the left panel, expand the Cross Server Job Sharing section and click Create Sharing Code. The code appears below with an Expires date and the Created By email. Click the copy icon next to the Sharing Code, then send that code to a company admin at the company you want to share jobs with.

The recipient does this part on their own server. From their Admin page, they expand the Cross Server Job Sharing section and click Enter Sharing Code. In the Enter Job Sharing Code window, they paste the code you sent into the Sharing Code field and click Continue. That completes the link between the two servers.

With the link in place, open the job you want to share and use its Share dialog. In the Share with Existing Contact dropdown, pick the other company. A cross-server contact shows the company name, the name of the server they are on, and a two-line server icon next to it. That two-line icon is how you know the contact is on a different server. Select them, set the Sharing Action dropdown to Share Read Access or Share Write Access, and click Share.

To end cross-server sharing, go back to the Cross Server Job Sharing section on the Admin page and open the three-dot menu next to the sharing link. Choose to delete it. Katapult Pro asks you to confirm with Delete sharing link? and warns that you will no longer be able to share jobs with that company on that server. Click Delete to remove the link and revoke the cross-server access.
