Virtual Rideout is a presentation tool that filters down data to the necessary information, allows you to collaborate on designs, and makes presenting Make Ready calls easy. Defensible data is shown in a simplified view that enables even unfamiliar users to quickly understand the Make Ready calls.
First, you'll want to set up your filters for the Virtual Rideout. Navigate to the Model Editor page from the App Tray.
Then find the "Virtual Rideout" subsection underneath the "Make Ready" section in the left nagivation panel of the Model Editor.
By default, the Virtual Rideout page automatically filters poles via custom logic, which can be customized here. Additional filters (under "Additional Pole Layers") can also be configured for different types of rideouts, if desired. These additional pole layers will show up in the Virtual Rideout page's settings.
Along with creating filters with custom logic, you can customize the view of the map in the Virtual Rideout page and simplify it. Adjust the current saved view as you'd want it to appear in the Virtual Rideout (which you can learn how to do from the Saved Views and Map Styles manuals.)
With the current view customized accordingly, use this to adjust the Virtual Rideout saved view template.
First click on the Map Layers (1) to access the Saved Views dropdown; open this and click on "Manage Saved Views..." (2). Click "New Saved View" in the opened dialog window and choose "Load From Template" (3).
From the dropdown, select "Virtual Rideout."
Once you're satisfied, update the Virtual Rideout saved view with the current view (1) (this saves it on the job) and overwrite the Virtual Rideout template (which is the one used for Virtual Rideout). To start this, click the three-dot menu next to Virtual Rideout (2) and click "Save As Template" (3).
In the window that pops up, choose "Overwrite Existing" (1) and then select the "Virtual Rideout" template from the drop down (2). Finally, hit "Save" on this dialog and "Save" on the "MANAGE SAVED VIEWS" dialog.
With your Virtual Rideout set up, you'll want to navigate to the Virtual Rideout page from the App Tray.

In Virtual Rideout, the map is shown on the left, taking up most of the screen. On the right, the selected pole's pole height photo is shown, displaying its Make Ready design.

You can specify the attachers that are attending the rideout, which will apply a filter to only display poles that have Make Ready for those specified attachers. To do this, click on the "Settings" gear icon and, in the "Companies Attending" dropdown, select the companies that will be attending.

You can advance to the next pole by clicking on the "Next" arrow, or go back to a previous pole by clicking the "Back" arrow.
The order of poles is determined by SCID.

If you click on the "Settings" gear icon, you can specify a timer length (in seconds) so that when you press the "Play" button (to the left of the "Back" arrow), after the allotted time has passed, the software will automatically advance to the next pole.

You can pause the timer at any time if you need more time. This timer feature is optional.
